How did you overcome the thickness limitations inherent in 3D weaving?
We completely depart from a Jacquard style loom operation. Additional details are a trade secret.
How will your panels, once mated, maintain integrity and air pressure?
Integrity. The panels use a hermaphroditic coupling mechanism that is universal to every joint. Unlike an androgynous mating interface, a hermaphroditic interface allows us to distribute stress and load throughout the coupled system.
Air pressure. We use a densified carbon nanotube forest as a gasket. As you may know, carbon nanotubes are incredibly strong, and the nano-scale forest allows for the complete seal between panels and joints.
The integrity tests and pressure tests are the first order of business on launch 1.
